New Developments

Panama City Real Estate is the most active market in Panama. Construction cranes dot the sky line. In the picture above look for those little red lights at the top of buildings jutting into the sky. Those are cranes marked to prevent crashes with planes.

The construction industry in Panama is getting prepared to hold one of their biggest events of the year. here is a report form one of Panama’s newspapers

By Cindy Calderón for the Panama America – There has been a great increase in construction activity. With investments totaling more than $10 billion dollars, the construction industry is getting ready to hold the CAPAC Expo Habitat ‘08. This event, to be held in the ATLAPA Convention Center from 17 to 21 September 2008, is the biggest and most important international construction and housing fair in Panama, Central America, and the Caribbean. The fair’s organizers, the Panamanian Chamber of Construction (CAPAC), say this event is a “must attend” appointment for any investor who want to be part of the “real estate boom” happening right now in the country. “Panama at this moment is living through a period of great increase in the construction industry, and it is estimated that investments in this sector will surpass $10 billion dollars, a very important number for such a small country,” said CAPAC members.

This year the CAPAC Expo Habitat ´08 will be realized in its 21st edition with the motto “The Opportunity You Were Waiting For” – in order to enjoy the most recent advances in machinery, heavy construction equipment, technology, decoration, or to buy that new house you have been dreaming about.

If you missed the fair you can still participate in the rel estate offerings. What is your desire, high rise on the bay, overlooking the bay from afar, in the rain forest, near the canal, on a golf course? Are you looking for a gated community with low rises and single family homes, is a high rise condo what you are after? How about a planned community like Costa Del Este, where you can have your high rise or low rise or single family home and while you are away from it all, you are not far away from anything.

TBEYOND PANAMA CITY
One of the early developments along the Pacific Coast and still one of the most beautiful is the Royal Decameron Hotel and Resort. Boasting seven pools and restaurants too numerous to count, the Royal Decameron Resort is often a temporary home to 2000 thousand people. Add to that the Villa owners, who live along the 18 hole championship golf course. Approximately 250 Villas and town homes are currently built but construction on many more is progressing rapidly, so this changes on a daily basis.

The Royal Decameron Golf and Villas development is not the only golf course development along the Pacific Coast. There is an older golf course community in Coronado, with a full 18 holes, and there are many. many new developments being built there. As you are heading west, turn left at the big Rey sign about an hour out of Panama City. I know it sounds silly but you can’t miss it.

Vista Mar, which as the name implies allows everyone to see the ocean, currently has 11 holes complete on a very spectacular golf course. This is not a development where you h get cookie cutter homes. Here, with some constraints, you can build the home of your dreams on a stunning lot overlooking the sea. Folks from Santa Barbara have their dream home on an ocean front lot. this was the home they wanted to build in Santa Barbara but they were a little short of the $13 Million it was going to take to do so. Here for1/10th the price they have their dream home and a cost of living which is 1/10th that of California.

Further west at Sea Cliff there is Bijau. This will only be a 9 hole course, but the property offers some stunning vies of the ocean and a wonderful white sand beach.

Past Decameron, is Buena Ventura, located just past Playa Blanca or the community known as White Beach you come to the beach home of Martin Torrillos, the current President of Panama. Continue along and you will see the entrance for Buena Ventura where the first Jack Nicklaus course in Panama is being constructed. This property gives you access to not only a wonderful golf course but truly one of the most spectacular beaches in the world.

If the beach alone is enough then there are many more developments to choose from, including one of our featured resorts RioMar.
